Each dance team attending UDA camp can nominate squad members to compete for the honor of being named a UDA All-American.  All seniors are eligible to tryout.  If there are no seniors, a maximum of six squad members may be nominated to tryout.  Each candidate performs six 8-counts of UDA Choreography and along with an additional two 8-counts of their own choreography.  All-American tryouts are usually held on the third day of camp.  Candidates tryout in groups of two or three.

Being selected as an All-American is a HUGE honor!  Dancers who are selected as All-Americans receive an individual medal and patch, and they are invited to participate in our special event trips!

• Sophomore, Junior, and Senior All-Americans will have the opportunity to perform in the New Year's Day Parade in London, England. The dates are December 26, 2011 - January 2, 2012.  The UDA staff chaperone the participants to ensure their safety and fun.  If you have any questions, email ghauser@varsityspirit.com
   
• Junior High and JV All-Americans will have the opportunity to perform in the Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade, Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, or the UCA/UDA Thanksgiving Tour at the Walt Disney World Resort depending on the state in which they attended camp.  The dates are November 22-25, 2011.

• Juniors and Seniors who are either a captains or co-captains from any team that attended UDA camp may travel to New York City November 19-25, 2011, and perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, "The Longest Running Show on Broadway," before a worldwide audience of 60 million people.  No tryout is necessary, and space is limited.  For more information, or if you have any questions, email medwards@uca.com
   
• Home Routine winners and Superior Trophy Winners are eligible to perform in the Capital One Bowl December 30, 2011 - January 3, 2012, in Orlando, Florida.
